Government imposes broadcast ban on political parties

Monday 1st December 2008 · 1 Comment

Labour Home Secretary Jacqui Smith today announced organisations in the United Kingdom believed to support the overthrow of the goverment will be banned from directly broadcasting on the airwaves.

The ban affects all 324 political parties registered with the Electoral Commission, but the Conservative party, led by David Cameron and St Green of Ashford, is understood to be the main target.

From midday today, instead of hearing members of the Conservative party, TV viewers and radio listeners will hear an actor’s voice reading a transcript of their words.

Experts have predicted this could double the Tory poll lead, as without having to listen to them speak, voters will not be reminded what a bunch of pompous, privileged gits they truly are.

A spokesperson for the Conservatives said something, but we can’t report what that is.
