Thursday 26th June 2008 · 2 Comments

According to Sam Coates of The Times, one Tory MP has adopted Alan Duncan’s phrase to refer to some of the Conservative Party’s more foaming-mouth members and their reaction to the Equalities Bill:

Of the seven Tory backbenchers in the chamber, two were in favour - Paul Goodman and John Bercow and five - Philip Davies, both Wintertons, Graham Brady , Angela Watkinson, were, in Bercow’s words, the Taliban tendency.

Now there’s an image that’ll keep you up at night - The Wintertons launching violent jihad on David Cameron.

If I were the Winterton’s, I’d keep a low profile and avoid p****ing off Cameron seeing as he could have withdrawn the whip ala Conway
