Labour: A Deluded Government?

Thursday 27th March 2008 · 1 Comment

It’s still only March, but Ivan Lewis MP, a junior minister in the Department of Health, is an early contender for the Heather Mills Award for Self-Delusion with this astonishing assertion:

“In conversation with colleagues last week we were agreed that despite current political difficulties in reality we have been rather a good government. If only the electorate understood all would be well!”

(Hat-tip: Sam Coates)

Strangely enough, the Progress article in which he writes this isn’t currently available. Are we about to see a spot of Orwellian revision?

Suggest you institute a “head up my own arse” award.
